I guide you in the way of wisdom and lead you along straight paths. When you walk, your steps will not be hampered; when you run, you will not stumble. Hold on to instruction, do not let it go; guard it well, for it is your life. Proverbs 4:11-13
Students at CHBC have the unique opportunity to experience dynamic impartation into their own lives of the hands-on learning environment, as well as the ministries of Canyon Hills Assembly of God. Canyon Hills Bible College offers 3 programs of study: Certificate of Progress, Ministerial Arts Diploma, and the Associate of Ministry Degree. Each is designed to fulfill the learning needs of a particular segment of our student body.
Certificate of Progress
The Certificate of Progress has as an objective personal spiritual growth and Bible knowledge. Students may fulfill course requirements for the Certificate of Progress by choosing 24 quarter hours of courses of any combination from within the Bible, Theology/History, and Practical Theology/Ministry Divisions. Since the Certificate of Progress is an indicator of the amount of work the student has completed at CHBC, no transfer units apply toward the 24 quarter hours, although transfer units can be applied toward the Ministerial Arts Diploma and the Associate of Ministry Degree. It can be achieved by taking two classes each quarter for four quarters.
Ministerial Arts Diploma
The Ministerial Arts Diploma has as an objective lay or professional Christian ministry and Bible knowledge. With the completion of this diploma, a student will:
be grounded in the foundational doctrines of the Bible.
demonstrate the communication and management skills necessary for leadership.
possess a sound Biblical foundation of education in Biblical and theological course work on which to build a lifetime of learning.

All Certificate of Progress courses may be used in the fulfillment of the Ministerial Arts Diploma.

fulfill all the educational requirements for a Ministerial License with the Assemblies of God (see Chapter on Ministerial Licensing).
have tested this knowledge in actual ministry experience.
The Associate of Ministry Degree consists of 90 quarter hours, 25% of which must be in general education. The general education curriculum is designed to develop within the student a belief system, the requisite knowledge and skills for a rich and productive life of learning, and the breadth of knowledge in different disciplines necessary to function responsibly in the contemporary world. By establishing links between different disciplines and increasing awareness of contemporary challenges, the general education curriculum, in conjunction with the required number of religion courses, opens new vistas and encourages a life-long pursuit of knowledge.
Courses completed in the Certificate of Progress and Ministerial Arts Diploma may be used in the fulfillment of the Associate of Ministry Degree.
